Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority (NYA), Osman Abdulai Ayariga, who also doubles as the Green Army Commander and Deputy National Youth Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), on Sunday led the party’s formidable Green Army team to flood the Akwatia Constituency in a powerful show of force and solidarity ahead of Tuesday’s crucial by-election.
The Green Army, under the leadership of Osman Ayariga, stormed the constituency with unmatched energy, determination, and organizational strength, canvassing votes for the NDC’s parliamentary candidate, Bernard Bediako. Their presence electrified the campaign atmosphere and reaffirmed the NDC’s commitment to securing victory in the upcoming poll.
The massive turnout formed part of the NDC’s intensified campaign strategy, which is aimed at mobilizing every available voter and consolidating grassroots support. With chants, placards, and door-to-door engagements, the Green Army inspired confidence among party faithful and won new sympathizers to the NDC’s cause.
Addressing the charged gathering, Osman Ayariga emphasized that the Green Army remains a disciplined and strategic youth force, ready to defend the party’s interests and ensure that the voice of the people of Akwatia are heard through the ballot box. He further assured the constituents that the NDC stands for peace, unity, and development, and urged them to rally behind Bernard Bediako as the candidate best positioned to deliver for Akwatia.
The campaign invasion was seen as a decisive statement of the NDC’s readiness, with many political observers describing it as one of the most significant youth-led mobilizations in recent by-election history.
