Former Vice President Bawumia Commiserates with President Mahama and Late Dr. Omane Boamah’s Family
Former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has extended his heartfelt condolences to President John Dramani Mahama and the family of the late Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, following the recent national tragedy.
In a Facebook post on Saturday afternoon, Dr. Bawumia said he visited President Mahama at his residence to express sympathy as the nation continues to mourn the loss of several compatriots in the recent helicopter crash.
“This afternoon, I paid a visit to the President, H. E. John Dramani Mahama at his residence, to express my deepest condolences to him, as the nation mourns the loss of our compatriots,” he wrote.
Dr. Bawumia also noted that he visited the family of the late Defence Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, to console them in their time of grief.
“May God, the Almighty, comfort the bereaved families,” he added.
The visit forms part of a series of condolences pouring in from political leaders, friends, and loved ones in honour of the victims of the August 6 helicopter crash.
