In a major boost for UK-bound travelers in Ghana, VFS Global has officially launched a new Premium Application Centre in Kumasi, offering residents of the Ashanti Region and surrounding areas a convenient option to submit UK visa applications without the need to travel to Accra.
Located at the Golden Bean Hotel, 3rd Floor, No. 19 Harper Road, Nhyiaeso, Adum, Kumasi, the new centre is now operational and appointments can be booked via https://visa.vfsglobal.com/gha/en/gbr. Services at the centre run from 8 AM to 2 PM.
The expansion complements the already operational Visa Application Centre in Accra, situated at Grand Oyeeman, Airport Area, and is part of VFS Global’s effort to meet increasing demand for UK visas from Ghana.
Speaking on the development, H.E. Keith McMahon, Chargé d’affaires at the British High Commission, stated:
“We are delighted to expand UK visa application services to customers outside Accra. Kumasi and the Ashanti Region are a crucial part of the UK-Ghana partnership, and we hope to welcome more travellers from Ghana to the UK.”
Ghana continues to be one of the top ten countries in Africa applying for UK visit visas, underlining the need for greater accessibility.

Applicants using the new Premium Application Centre will benefit from added services, including document upload assistance, status notifications, and courier return of documents. One notable offering is the Keep My Passport While Applying service, allowing customers to retain their passports while a decision is pending.
