President John Dramani Mahama has reaffirmed the significance of Ramadan in shaping a prosperous and just Ghana, emphasizing faith, sacrifice, unity, and compassion.
In a Facebook post following his first Eid-ul-Fitr prayers with the Muslim community, Mahama reflected on the spiritual essence of Ramadan and its role in fostering national development.
“At my first Eid-ul-Fitr prayers with the Muslim community, I reminded them that Ramadan embodies the values we all strive for in building a prosperous and just Ghana,” he wrote.
He further noted that the sacred month serves as a reminder of the values that define Ghanaians as a people, urging unity and compassion among citizens.
The president concluded his message with warm wishes to the Muslim community, saying, “Eid Mubarak!”
Mahama’s message comes at a time when many are reflecting on the spiritual and social impact of Ramadan, a period marked by fasting, prayer, and acts of kindness.
