President John Dramani Mahama has sworn into office five Ministers who were part of the second batch of Ministers to be approved by Parliament.
The five Ministers are; Ahmed Ibrahim, Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare, Minister for Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Emelia Arthur, Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture and George Opare-Addo, Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment.
All five Ministers were approved by the House on Tuesday, January 21 and Wednesday, January 22.
During the ceremony, President Mahama charged the ministers to deliver on their mandate while expressing his support and trust in them to meet the expectations of Ghanaians.
“All eyes will be on you and I heavily believe that you will rise to the occasion,” the President told the newly sworn-in Ministers.
This brings the number of Ministers sworn-in to 11. Six others were sworn-in on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.
Meanwhile, Parliament has approved Interior Minister-designate, Muntaka Mubarak pending his swearing-in by President John Dramani Mahama.
The House also approved the regional ministers-designate for Northern, Oti, Volta, and Eastern regions.
