On Monday, January 6, President Akufo-Addo took President-elect John Mahama and Vice President-elect Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang on a tour of the Jubilee House ahead of the official handover ceremony scheduled for January 7, 2025.
The visit provided Mahama and Prof. Opoku-Agyemang an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the presidency’s facilities and operations, which will serve as their base during the upcoming administration.
President Akufo-Addo’s tenure ends on January 7, 2025, with Mahama set to assume office following his victory in the December 7 general election.
The swearing-in ceremony, set to take place at Black Star Square, will be attended by dignitaries, diplomats, and representatives from various sectors.
