The President-elect, His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, has directed the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Leadership to nominate The Right Honourable Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin as Speaker of the 9th Parliament of Ghana’s Fourth Republic.
This decision, made in consultation with the NDC National Executive and Parliamentary Leadership, underscores the party’s confidence in Rt. Hon. Bagbin’s unparalleled legislative expertise and leadership.
Bagbin, who has served in various capacities in Ghana’s Parliament, including Minority Leader, Majority Leader, and Speaker of the 8th Parliament, is widely celebrated for his significant contributions to the country’s democratic process.
