The Ghana Police Service has indicated that Oliver Barker-Vormavor is unable to secure sureties for his bail.
This was contained in a statement issued by the service.
The police also denied beating Oliver Barker-Vormawor but indicated that there are bruises on his hand because he resisted a change in the cell where he was being detained after police picked intelligence that he had plans to compromise the security of other inmates.
The police, in their statement, said the bruises were treated and Oliver was sent back to his cell.
