The running mate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang, has joined calls for the Electoral Commission to subject the voters register for the upcoming general elections to a forensic audit.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang says in the interest of peace, and to assure stakeholders that there is nothing to hide, the Electoral Commission must not resist demands for a forensic audit into the register.
She was speaking at her campaign office in Accra on Monday.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang says the calls for a forensic audit is an opportunity for the Electoral Commission to bolster confidence in Ghanaians in the run-up to the presidential and parliamentary elections.
