Textile Workers Union threaten demo over rise in pirated fabrics

The issue of piracy of clothes and textiles is currently assuming a worrying trend which local textile and clothing businessmen claim, is fast depreciating their businesses.

The General Secretary of the Textiles Workers Union, Abraham Koomson revealed that the pirates now use illegal routes for their business and the authorities in charge at the Ministries are doing nothing about it.

Mr. Koomson says the Union will soon stage a demonstration to call for an immediate solution to the issue of piracy.
