Shirley Ayorkor holds send-off party for Hannah Tetteh

Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, the foreign affairs minister, has held a send-off party for her predecessor, Hannah Tetteh.

The event, which was held in Accra, comes barely a week after President Nana Akufo-Addo swore in Botchwey to the position which Tetteh held for four years under the administration of former President John Mahama.

Botchwey and Tettey are believed to have mutual respect for each other, with the latter congratulating the former as soon as the Anyaa-Sowutuom MP was appointed to the position.

“Congratulations to Hon. Shirley Botchway on her nomination as Foreign Minister Designate & good luck for her vetting. She’ll do a good job,” Tetteh wrote on Twitter.
