More than 50 children have been given a taste of the award winning in-flight entertainment of Emirates Airline in a movie at the Silverbird Cinemas at the Accra Mall.

The movie was to enable parents and children to experience the attention, care and fun Emirates offers kids on board the airline.

Having perfected the art of providing passengers with an unparalleled in-flight experience, Emirates brought that same feeling to the ground during a special screening of ‘Angry Birds’ on Saturday at the first Kids Movie Weekend in Accra.

Mr. Hendrik Du Preez, the Country Manager of Emirates Ghana, said: “More than four million children travel with the airline each year, placing young travelers amongst Emirates’ most important customers’’.

He said: “We know how challenging it can be for parents to keep their children occupied and happy on flights so we have ensured that every aspect of the travel experience is catered for, from toys and kids’ entertainment to special meals on board, and even special family check-in areas.’’

He said the Kids Movie Weekend was in line with Emirates’ many special considerations designed to make the family air travel a comfortable experience.

Mr. Du Preez said Emirates had carved a niche for itself in the area of in-flight entertainment with state-of-the-art system known as Information, Communication and Entertainment (ICE) which gives passengers a limitless array of its activities.

Through the ICE, passengers get the chance to catch up classics and latest movies, music, games and even watch live TV.

Children who attended the Kids Movie Weekend were all presented with teddy bears known as “Emirates fly with me animal,” as is done on all Emirates flights.
