Dr MICHAEL JARVIS BOKOR REPLIES ALBAN BAGBIN THIS KIND OF STUPIDITY WON’T WIN POLITICAL POWER FOR THE NDC

Folks, I have said several times, even to a fault, that the NDC’s bid to return to power in Ghana needs more than what is coming from the characters interested in leading it to the 2020 polls and beyond.

And I have isolated Alban Bagbin for special mention because I don’t see his politicking as beneficial to the NDC. It is just aimed at putting him where he doesn’t belong, won’t belong, and has never belonged. He is too narrow-minded in his assessment of issues, personalizing it all and coming across as a dunce to me. Remember, it is to to me!!

What he has put out now confirms it all. In power, could President Mahama not have managed himself to do what Ghanaians expected of him for which they thumb-printed the ballot papers top prefer him to Akufo-Addo?

Where did Bagbin thumb-print on the occasion? For himself when he wasn’t a candidate? For Mahama when he knew (at least, from his own after-the-fact vituperation that Mahama couldn’t perform well to keep the NDC in contention? And why did he accept the appointment to public office that Mahama gave him? What madness is that?

Folks, there are many issues to tackle as far as this Bagbin is concerned. But I will boil everything down to the fact that he is running ahead of himself and losing out.; If he really wants to win the heart of the NDC delegates who will choose the party’s flagbearer for Election 2020,. he had better find better means to sell himself. So far, he has concentrated his attention and limited resources on personally attacking Mahama and those who worked with him. it won’t salve his own conscience or help him to outdo Mahama.

If he knew that Mahama wasn’t qualified to be in charge of Ghana’s affairs, why did he accept the call to duty when Mahama appointed him to office?

Folks, characters of Bagbin’s type aren’t good for the NDC. The earlier they get the boot the better. I wish i were in Ghana to face him squarely on any platform (on behalf of Mahama). The NDC can do better without his kind of peskiness!!

Did Mahama have the need for “managers”? Couldn’t he have done things his own way as mandated by the NDC and the electorate that put him in power? Did he have to look up to Stan Dogbe and Co. to validate himself? A resounding NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Only shortsighted trouble-makers of Bagbin’s kind will go this way. Mahama
asserted his native influence and did everything to prove his worth while in power and out of it. Can Bagbin not know that Mahama is poles ahead of him?

Let us place things in perspective here. Stan Dogbe and all those young guys who worked with Mahama had specific assignments to do, which they did, even if their over-zealousness made them step on toes.

They were not in office to MANAGE Mahama because Mahama could manage himself, which explains the trajectory of his accomplishments, none of which Bagbin has achieved or can can achieve. Why is it difficult for him to see things beyond his nose and to behave appropriately as such?

Winning the hearts, minds, and thumbs of the NDC delegates who will choose the party’s flagbearer for Election 2020 demands more than what Bagbin has said and done so far. So is it with the others personalizing issues as if by damning Mahama, they will have the “Open Sesame” leeway. It takes more than that futile move to win the support, respect, confidence, and trust of the party’s delegates. Why can’t the Bagbins see things clearly?

Bagbin, particularly, is overly ambitious and will end up unfulfilled as such. But for the support given him by Mahama, he would have lost his Parliamentary seat to the NPP candidate at Election 2016. Can he think more clearly and be grateful to his benefactors instead of biting the finger feeding him politically?

Playing the “Northern Ghana” card, why would the voters dump Mahama and root for Bagbin, whose impact they haven’t felt as much as they did that of Mahama?

Attempting to outdo Mahama definitely calls for more than what Bagbin has spewed out thus far. Can Bagbin not know that Ghanaians have seen more of Mahama as the face of the NDC than they could ever do him or that whatever turned them against Mahama at Election 2016 has been reduced to absurdity by the super-incompetent Akufo-Addo government?

And Bagbin claims to be a lawyer and what-not in Parliament? A waste pipe to be damned for all these long years that he represented his Nadowli people without solving pertinent problems. Only talk-talk-talk—!!

Ghanaians deserve better, at least, if they wish the NDC back in power!!
