Vodafone proud to partner Stephen Appiah

Communications giants Vodafone is proud to partner former Black Stars captain Stephen Appiah for the Unity Cup slated for July this year ahead of the general elections, according to marketing team member Emefa Esaah.

To her, it is a matter of pride to be with the first captain of the Black Stars to have qualified the team for the World Cup in 2006 to clamour for peace ahead of the upcoming elections.

Speaking at the Press Soiree held by organizers of the game, Primeval Media, she acknowledged the importance role football plays in the lives of Ghanaians and the need to use it to clamour for peace.

“We are very happy to join Primeval Media and Stephen Appiah to champion this course.

Indeed, football is the Passion of the nation and the appropriate platform to alert Ghanaians on the need to be tolerant during the electioneering period,” she said.

“It is important to acknowledge that we are one people and regardless of our political affiliations, we are still the same people after the elections,” she added.

Ghana has been the beacon of democracy in Africa and has gone through numerous general elections peacefully and all attempts are underway by Primeval Media and Vodafone to ensure we keep enjoying the wind of peace in the country.
