Reopening of borders: President Akufo Addo to address nation tonight

The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is expected to address the nation today August 16 on measures taken by the country against the spread of COVID-19

This will be his fifteenth address since Ghana recorded its first two COVID-19 cases.

The President will be expected to brief the country on the case management in the country.

Also, the President of Ghana will be expected to speak on Ghana’s close borders on whether there will be an opening or the borders will continue to be closed.

The President of Ghana will address matters regarding education in the country and whether schools will be allowed to open considering the current number of active cases in the country.

Ghana currently has 1,832 active COVID-19 cases with confirmed cases in the country being 42,210 out of which 40,147 clinical recoveries recorded.
