MAHAMA-PROJECTS KEEPING PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO BUSY AND ACTIVE

Presidents, just like anyone else, need to be kept engaged and active in both personal, political and social pursuits. Commissioning projects of the last administration has become indoor and outdoor activities that the current President enjoy keeping him active and busy. Commissioning the Mahama-Projects is giving the President the opportunity to socialise as he did in his younger years. This is the first time in the country’s history that a new administration is spending the first year of its four year tenure to inaugurate projects of its predecessor. One of the things the last administration deliberately did was to put our resources where they will impact on the lives of Ghanaians. As the President travels round the country to commission the Mahama projects, he must know that his government’s responsibility is to continue from where Mahama ended. He must focus on those things that will deliver the greatest happiness to the greatest number of Ghanaians in the shortest possible time. Mr President must courageously commend and pay tribute to the efforts of his predecessor Mr John Mahama on his outstanding presidency and his successful conduct of the work of the previous administration.

I am told the President will soon visit Kwahu to commission some completed projects. Before he the President embarks on his tour, let me remind him of the appeal Hon. Seth Kwame Acheapong, made to his Roads and Highways Minister to aid the continuous construction of concrete asphalt roads from Nkawkaw to Atibie which was abandoned after the 2016 election. He made the appeal in a letter dated 2 August, 2017 to the sector minister. Let me take this opportunity to furnish the President with few facts about Mahama projects in the areas to avoid repetition of what happened with the Wa project.
