I’m in a ‘marathon race’ to save Ghana – Akufo-Addo

President Akufo-Addo has reiterated his resolve to save the economy of the country from its current quagmire following mismanagement from the erstwhile National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.

He disclosed that the economy he succeeded from NDC was bankrupt for which reason certain measures have not yielded the needed results but said nonetheless; he is prepared to take Ghana to the promised Land.

“Our race is not a sprint, it is a cross country, it is a marathon race and we are going to win at the end the end” he stated.

According to him, the challenges of a broke economy he succeeded are daunting appealing for patience from the citizenry as he puts the country on sound footing for the creation of jobs for the teeming unemployed youth of the country.

“I appreciate very much the anxiety about jobs. What I am saying is that the foundation has been laid for jobs. It has not been easy because we inherited a bankrupt economy but because of the ingenuity of the people I am working with, we have been able to lay a good foundation. I am asking you let us remain united and confident. We are on the right path and soon it will be all obvious to everybody,” he added.
