Deep throat information available to us indicates that the campaign team of president Nana Addo-Dankwa Akufo-Addo election 2020 has set an agenda against former president John Agyekum Kuffour to denigrate his hard won reputation and belittle his legacy instead of focusing on what they intend to do for Ghanaians.
According to an executive member of the New Patriotic Party who pleaded anonymity, who is not pleased with NPP’s approach of destroying President Kuffour’s legacy to make Akufo-Addo look supreme. “There is no way any government in the history of Ghana including Akufo-Addo can compare himself to Kuffour”, he stated.
Speaking on a statement made by a Deputy Minister of Information, Pius Hadzide that President Akufo-Addo’s first term performance is unprecedented and far better than president Kuffour’s first term. He advised that this is a non-starter and that Akufo-Addo and his campaign team should revise their notes.
Pius Hadzide in an interview over the week said no president in the 4th Republic can compare with the achievements of the current government in its first term.
“The work this government has done in this first four years, not even the venerable Agyekum Kufour’s government can match it and that is a fact. Numerous policies and programs including the Free SHS, 1D1F, NABCo, Planting for Food and jobs among many others which have to a large extent improved the living conditions of Ghanaians. And all these have been done it this government’s first term,” Pius Hadzide to Akwasi Nsiah on ‘Wonsom’ on Kasapa 102.5FM.
But in a reply, the executive member lambasted and warned Akufo-Addo and his team to dare not try to destroy Kuffour’s legacy.
