The beleaguered Director General Of the GHANA MARITIME AUTHORITY (GMA) Who contested James Agalga at the Builsa North Constituency, Mr. Thomas Kofi Alonsi is at it again after fraudulently paying 14million dollars to a Serbian company VLATACOM for no work done.

As characteristic of him, Mr. Alonsi has reportedly cashed out about 5.4 million ghana cedis from the GMA’s account.
According to deep throat sources at the GMA the Director General on Thursday January 16, 2025 cashed out 5.4 million Ghana cedis saying it’s contract fee for Tree stumps removal.
Newsflashafrica.com’s independent checks reveal that there is no such contract and for a long time there hasn’t been removal of any tree stumps.
Unknowing that our radar is on him monitoring his skirmishes at the GMA Mr. Alonsi [whose conduct is akin to a man who thrives in deeply immersed scandals, cashed out another 1.5 million Ghana Cedis just yesterday Wednesday January 22, 2025, causing intense upheavals at the GMA with majority staff gnashing their teeth over what appears to be a laisser-faire platform for looting by the Director General.
This conduct of Thomas Kofi Alonsi is a typical example of how not to govern at a prestigious Agency like the Maritime Authority and Staff who are chagrined by the development are wondering why such a man would still be at post after all the mess he has superintended at the GMA.
Meanwhile the disgruntled staff who became target of victimization by the Director General because they stood up to him are therefore not only calling for the dismissal of Thomas Kofi Alonsi immediatelybut his prosecution as well.

He is reported to be engaging in influence peddling that he has paid most of the NDC leadership to stay at post till MARCH 2025 but the staff who would have none of that influence peddling, are calling on the ORAL team to swiftly storm the GMA and cause his dismissal from office.
