Sam George wins Ningo Prampram seat

Provisional figures coming from the Ningo Prampram Constituency have shown that Communications specialist at the presidency, Samuel George Nartey has won the as Member of Parliament elect for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
He beat his main contender of the New Patriotic Party, Sylvester Tetteh to win the seat.

Incidentally, both Sam George and NPP candidate, Sylvester Tetteh, are from Ningo and there were indications that if the NPP candidate will amass the votes he garnered in the last election, and Prampram NDC members decide to carry through their threats of voting skirts and blouse, the NDC will to lose the seat for the first time but the NPP lost to Sam George.

Sam George beat one of Ghana’s longest serving MPs, Enoch Teye Mensah to emerge as the candidate for the constituency.
The Ningo Prampram seat has traditionally been a safe one for the NDC although the NPP believed to have closed the gap in terms of votes in the 2012 election.
