OMANE BOAMAH’S SOCIAL MEDIA POST ABOUT LAWYER OKUDZETO’S SUGGESTION STIRS UP STORM, MANY “SAY NO TO THE LAWYER”

Dr Edward Omane Boamah, Ghana’s immediate former Communication Minister, on Wednesday, sharply disagreed with a suggestion by, a senior legal practitioner and a former President of the Ghana Bar Association on Electoral Commission’s proposed voters’ registration exercise.

Mr Okudzeto who is also and elder of the New Patriotic Party (Npp) has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to start the voters’ registration exercise in places not affected by the partial lockdown.

Dr Omane Boamah reacting to Mr Okudzeto’s suggestion on his Facebook page and other social media handles, stated that, the respected statesman doesn’t appreciate the nuances of the coronavirus disease and the state of unpreparedness.

“I vehemently disagree with the respected Statesman Sam Okudzeto. He doesn’t appreciate the nuances of the coronavirus disease and the state of (un)preparedness” he argued.

The Electoral Commission suspended its planned compilation of a new voters’ register over the President’s directive banning all public gathering as part of efforts to minimize the spread of the coronavirus disease.
