New think-tank STRANEK is born

This paper can authoritatively confirm the birth of a new policy think-thank, Strategic Thinkers Network (STRANEK).

A source close to the non-partisan group has hinted that the mission of STRANEK – which will be launched sometime early April this year – is to conduct high-quality, independent research and, based on that, to provide innovative practical recommendations that advance three broad goals, namely: strengthen Ghana’s democracy; foster the economic and social welfare, security and opportunities of all Ghanaians; secure a more open, safe, prosperous and cooperative international system.

Details of the membership of STRANEK is sketchy at this stage, but indicate that the new policy think-thank has assembled some of the best brains in the country with expertise in economics, banking, politics, policy analysis, science, technology, communications etc.

According to the source, STRANEK promises to offer Ghana the best form of non-partisan, strong intellectual research and analysis of critical national issues. Source: Ghanaian lens newspaper
