NDC Launches Campaign At New Cape Coast Stadium Tomorrow

The newly constructed Cape Coast stadium, will play host to the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) on Sunday,tomorrow August 14, 2016, as the party launches it campaign for the December 7 presidential and parliamentary elections.

The party, thus becomes the first to hit the ground running after it main counter, the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) postponed it manifesto launch last week.

Tomorrow, the president, John Dramani Mahama, and all who matter from across the length and breadth of the country, will converge at the Central Regional capital.

Briefing the media at the national headquarters at Adabraka, in Accra, the campaign team spokesperson, Joyce Mogtari Bawa, said the official launch was to “galvanize the party’s supporters to give indication to the people of Ghana that, Your Excellency, John Dramani Mahama is ready for victory 2016.

We also expect that Ghanaians would agree with us, and be convinced that His Excellency the president indeed deserves a second four year term”
The campaign which is themed “Changing lives, Transforming Ghana” already making waves, she noted is apt, most appropriate. “It is very simple, straight forward and catchy. It is well, visible enough, displayed all over”, she said.

The deputy Minister of Transport, said it was expected that all activities with respect to the campaign, would revolve around the theme.

Yet to be confirmed information says the party after the campaign launch, would pitch camp in the Brong Ahafo Regional capital, Sunyani, to launch it Manifesto.

Mrs. Mogtari, who will not confirm this said “The manifesto launch is still in the offing and will be communicated in due course, but Sunday specifically, is to outdoor our candidate and to officially launch our 2016 campaign for the elections”.

According to Mrs. Bawa, Who is sure of her candidate’s victory, said president Mahama is “the best candidate for this year’s elections”.

She continued “Our candidate has demonstrated his commitment and passion for this country, for our development and for the ideals for which the
National Democratic Congress was formed.

As a party, we believe that we have the best candidate. And as a party, we’ve put forth our best foot”. The NDC is seeking a third term bid, while the president, is campaigning to be retained after his first term in office.
