NDC Activist Julius Logass calls for John Mahama’s Comeback

Julius Logas made these remarks in an interview with this reporter when he was asked as to who among the numerous names coming up will his group Diplomatic Platform support to go for the Flagbearer Position of the National Democratic Congress NDC come next year and he had this to say.

“The group Diplomatic Platform is an independent group who will not come out to support any individual for the Flagbearer Position of the party. The group will wait to see who will emerge as the winner of the whole competition and afterwards rally our full support behind the winner to battle the ruling New Patriotic Party come 2020.

“In as much as the group won’t come out to support any individual in the Flagbearer race in the party does not mean individuals in the group do not have their choices.

We have those who believe in other candidates but I in person will go for former President Mahama eventhough he has not shown any interest as to whether he will compete for the position or not. But trust me, I will personally sue the former President if he refuses to compete for the position. I will shock the whole of Ghana as to why am taking that decision. The fact is that, the former President would do the NDC a great disservice if he refuses to come back for the Flagbearer Position of the party.

He is our best bet for election 2020. We can not do away with him for anybody in the party at this moment. Anybody can try but the only candidate that can bring us power come 2020 is former President Mahama. He has been tried and tested. Today, majority of Ghanaians including his serious critics have come to the realisation that the NPP and their Flagbearer Nana Akuffo Addo came to lie to them and can’t deliver on the numerous promises they made to the people of this country. If there is anyone who can salvage this nation from the hands of the NPP then it is the same man through whom Ghana saw alot of progress In terms of infrastructure and developments. John Mahama has to come back, he has no option. If indeed, he believes he was sent by God to work for the people of this country then he shouldn’t turn his back at us in this hard times. And if he tries, trust me I will set a record by suing him for disappointing Ghanaians and our great party NDC.
