Govt considers strategy to enable mobile phone users switch networks

Government is considering a telecommunication strategy where mobile phone users can instantly port from one network to another in the event of network failure.

Speaking at this year’s World Telecommunication and Information Society Day in Accra, Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omani Boamah said government recognises the power of ICT in creating an all-inclusive society hence, the adoption of the use of sophisticated ICT techniques to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals, SDG’s targets on health, education and poverty alleviation.
