Former President Mahama Receives his NDC Membership Card At Bole-Bamboi (Video)

Former President John Dramani Mahama was in his home constituency of Bole- Bamboi yesterday tuesday 30th January, 2018 to take part in the ongoing NDC membership registration.

He was met with enthusiastic and chanting supporters on motorbikes, cars and bicycles.

On reaching Bole the former President went straight to an open space near his late fathers house not far from his polling station or branch called Bole District Assembly branch where the executives and NDC electoral officials for the branch were waiting for him.

The Chairman of his branch called Wanaa welcomed him and said they do have meetings every Tuesday of the week and were elated to have former President Mahama as part of their meeting for the week. The branch chairman then led the former President to the branch electoral officials who first demanded his voter identity card and two passport photos which he provided. They then told the former President to supply his personal information including his date of birth, house number and demanded one cedi from him which he duly paid. There was a thunderous appluase when the former President was asked his occupatyin and he proudly said “I am a farmer”.

Mr John Mahama’s name was entered into the registration booklet and his NDC identity card issued amidst applause from the many supporters who thronged the registration centre. The former President became the 45th member of his branch.

After former President Mahama was issued his identiry card, he interacted with the Constituency executives, party elders and then addressed all party sympathisers gathered there.
The former President said he has been voting at his polling station since 1992 and encouraged all party members to take active part in the registration of their memebers. He explained that the registration is for all members whether one has ever registered or not. He entreated all members to pay the one cedi for the registration card because a member will be said to be commited and loves the party if pays just one cedi. He said the lowest to the highest member will pay one cedi and he as a former President just paid one cedi.
