Woman poisons two daughters at Essikado

A 40-year old woman has poisoned her two beautiful daughters at Essikado in the Western Region.

The woman, whose name was only given as Naana is believed to be mentally deranged.

She is said to have have mixed some pesticide with food for her children on Sunday evening which led to their untimely deaths.

The woman has since been arrested whilst the bodies of the children, Maame Serwaa, 10, and Maame Fulba, 8, have been deposited at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue for Autopsy.

In a related development, some neighbours of Naana claimed she had separated with her husband some time back and was living with her sister together with the children at Essikado.

They claimed that the man is a tutor at the Sekondi Senior High School (SEKCO) adding that a court had ordered him to take custody of the children with effect from Monday November 2, 2015 before the unfortunate incident happened.
