Maverick lawyer, Maurice Ampaw, has dared the Minister of Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, to come public and deny that the latter never convened a ‘secret’ meeting with the sole agenda of bringing gold collectible outfit Menzgold and it’s CEO Nana Appiah aka NAM1 down.
Finance Minister, Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, has described people who traded with MenzGold as ‘greedy’ individuals who did not think before investing their money with the gold merchant.
Lawyer Ampaw, who had hint and was nearly lured as far back as last year into a meeting to collapse Menzgold — made up of top business men, politicians in the NPP government, influential lawyers, esteemed Journalists, and acadamicians, sent caution to the latter — but they did not listen to him.
In a tell it all tale in the studio of Adehye3 99.1 FM, lawyer Ampaw alleged strongly that the Finance Minister is the hidden hand behind all the woes Menzgold and NAM1 are facing over their business operation in the financial sector.
Lawyer Ampaw also disclosed that he has seen documents of clients of Data Bank, a company owned by the Finance Minister, who ported their investment (money) from Data Bank to Menzgold.
Sensing danger of his company collapsing, the Finance Minister held a meeting with the aforementioned stakeholders to throw Menzgold in a bad light, question their credibility, and bring them down.
“The Finance Minister should come out and deny he never had a meeting with the intention of collapsing Manzgold. I know them. They had a meeting.
“They realized Menzgold was offering a higher interest than them, hence, if they don’t kick Menzgold out, their company (Data Bank) will collapse” lawyer Ampaw alleged.
