Victor Smith must ‘shut up’ – NDC group yells

A pro National Democratic Congress (NDC) group, Action Movement has warned former Ghana Ambassador to UK, Victor Smith to shut his mouth concerning former President Rawlings.

According to the group, Victor Smith should “stop this non-sense” as he’s just seeking attention.

“The Founder is a serious minded personality; he does not have time for attention seekers. We the Action Movement want Victor to tell Ghanaians what he did that caused him to write his ²sacked letter and signed it as the aide of the Founder.”

Ambassador Victor Smith who was one time a Spokesperson for former first family fell out with the Rawlings’ family following a strong disagreement and was subsequently allegedly sacked via a text message by the ex President.

The former Diplomat who has since then had a frosty relationship with the Rawlingses has chided ex President Rawlings for hobnobbing with then opposition leader Nana Akufo Addo ahead of that crucial election, adding that he wept when he saw his former boss cracking jokes with President Akufo Addo during his inauguration.

Action Movement at a press conference said Victor Smith should stop the shameful and disgraceful life he is living since he could not even redeem his constituency due to his arrogant life.

“Victor, because of your crocked ways the NDC failed to make progress in Abuakwa North Constituency. We pray the founder should not waste a moment of his time on Smith. We plead that the Founder will use his precious time to rather help the NDC, the likes like Smith has destroyed.”

Good morning to our hard working NDC members in the entire country

Good morning to all Action Movement Members in all our constituencies

The Action Movement is very surprise that, the leadership of the party is in a devastating speculative mood, ²who is behind the movement²?who is sponsoring the movement?²the movement wants to destroy the party²how can the Action Movement wants the NDC to come to power in 2020 and be sent to be dividing the party? The parochial tendencies that are forcing them to speculate these untruths should be stopped. The ability to harness the various energy levels in our party to win 2020 is paramount, if they cannot do that now for the party, all of them must give way for others to come.

Victor Smith should stop the shameful and disgraceful life he is living, Victor cannot even redeem his constituency due to his arrogant and life full of dishonesty, Victor, because of your crocked ways the NDC failed to make progress in Abuakwa North Constituency.

The NDC should smile that we have a huge opportunity to bring the great NDC back to its principles, we would have destroy NDC entirely if we had won the 2016 election, since the demise of the former President Atta Mills who won us the 2012 election, we as a part have not been able to add anything meaningful to the party.

It is high time for us to stop doing NDC on platforms, is good to communicate through platforms, but when the NDC’s platforms are active, our leaders take that to be votes and they convince themselves that the NDC is in a comfortable lead, unpardonable complacency.Our greatest success after the honest traits of the former president Atta Mills won us the 2008 election were;
Perpetual insults of our elders and the leaders of the party were happy about it

Disrespect for the grass root
Too much support of appointees by JM against the grass root
Inability to control and manage appointees on the principles of the NDC
Inability to manage the activities of appointees.

The observation of the Action Movement is that, if money can win an election, President Akuffo Addo would have won the 2008 election. Also if money can win an election, President Mahama would have won the 2016 election. We are warning JM’s appointees who have made money from the party and are thinking that they would use money to win coming elections; we will expose all of them and make sure that they are disgraced.

It is amassing how ineffective our National Executives were in the 2016 election, whilst the NPP won their election without a National Chairman and with an acting general secretary, our National executives performed woefully and they keep reducing our strength by sacking hard working executives just because they are speaking the truth.The National Executives and the leaders of the NDC must realise this, that you cannot do things the same way all the time and be expecting extra ordinary results. Partisan politics has taken a new dimension, if you are not sympathetic, have empathy for people and responsive to the needs of the ordinary people at the grass root level, Ghanaians will keep quiet and punish you on the Election Day. As they did to the NDC.

The Action Movement is very excited on how rejuvenated and how activated the grass root is getting after our self-inflicted 2016 defeat. Constant deceit of the grass root, the sharp gap between the governing group and the grass root and insults on the elderly must stop for our party to be decent again. We are sure that as a party we have learnt our lessons.

For the president of the day Nana Akuffo Addo, the Action Movement wants to add her voice to the loyal Ghanaians who are calling on him to lawfully deal with people in the past Government who have mismanaged funds or taken the states money. That is the only way the resources of Ghana can get to every individual who are in a dyeing need for support.

Is about time that we know that we have only one Ghana, and we have to take care of our resources. Mr. President is a must for you to jail any appointee from the previous government who misapplied him/herself. Every appointee must take responsibility for his stewardship to the Nation, Is high time we name and shame so that those in the helm of affairs today will be careful on their roles.
