The General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has reiterated the party’s position never to partake in the Accra-based Peace FM’s Kokrokoo Morning show.
He stated that the party will only return if the host, Kwame Sefa Kayi apologises to them in their party office.
It may be recalled that the NDC, for over two years now, has boycotted the ‘Kokrokoo’ Morning Show over alleged biased.
Their reason for the action was that the host, Kwame Sefa Kayi who was appointed by the NPP government as board member of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has always been hostile towards the party on his programme.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia however briefly surfaced on the show today, Friday, August 12, where he was asked if his presence suggested a rescind of their decision.
To the host’s surprise, he responded “the NDC coming back to Peace FM is dependent on you (Sefa Kayi). You have wronged us and so you need to come to our office and apologise and settle everything otherwise we are not coming back.”
After his answer, the host asked, “so what did you say I committed against your party?”
The Chief Scribe replied, “Peace FM is not court” and left the studio.
