Both Teachers and Students of Nkwanta community day senior high/Tech. school took to the streets of Nkwanta township in the Volta Region today 2nd December, 2016 to show appreciation to the President for great thing he has done in their lives.
They are calling on Ghanaians to vote massively for president John Dramani Mahama to continue building more schools and other developmental infrastructure to move the nation forward.
The organization was done by the Coordinator for the John Dumelo foundation, Mr. Bernard Joachim in collaboration with the constituency executives, he extended felicitations from his boss John Dumelo to the student body. John visited the school earlier this year to adopt the school and also made some donations.
The students with their teachers were very excited and chanting slogans like “Now we have a future, thank You your excellency, JM toaso, JM yidzi, Where would I have been, if not for this newly built community Day school? All well meaning Ghanaians should vote for JM etc.
The constituency youth organiser, Mr. Osman was there to support the float, the constituency secretary, Mr. Ken Apegya was fantastic by making sure resources were adequately available for the exercise. The students also expressed appreciation to the constituency Chairman Mr. Asamoah for his nice gesture and also the parliamentary candidate, Mr. Geoffrey Kini for his continuous support.
The students also appealed to the President Mahama to come to their aid to continue building the school with more infrastructure like canteen, science lab equipment, Entertainment gadgets and some other important facilities to help the school develop.
The students stated that hadn’t not been building of the new community day senior high school, most of them would have remained in the house without attending school. A teacher in the school, Mr. Ege admonished the students to take their studies seriously and be thankful to the President for the wonderful thing he’s done in their lives.
