According to the transfer directive, Justice Charles A. Wilson is expected to resume duty at Bolgatanga High Court on 11th January, 2021 until he is redirected to go back to Tamale, his former station.

Though it’s unclear why His Lordship Justice Charles A. Wilson has been transferred, some Ghanaians especially members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) believe that, it was as a result of the Party’s earlier announcement to petition the Supreme Court over the December 2020 Presidential election results.

The largest opposition political party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) has publicly announced to formerly file a petition at the Supreme Court on Wednesday, 30th December, 2020.

The date as announced by the National Democratic Congress is the last day of the mandated 21 days stated by the Law for any individual or political party who is not satisfied by the outcome of the elections to challenge it at court.

This was revealed by the Member of Parliament for South Dayi and a member of the legal team of the National Democratic Congress, Rockson-Nelson Etse Kwame Dafeamekpor.

The NDC’s petition is connection with the declaration of the December 2020 Presidential election results by Mrs. Jean Mensa, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission. The Leader of the party John Dramani Mahama has earlier rejected the elections results and described it as flawed and rigged in favour of his political opponent President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
