SUPPORTERS OF SUSPENDED NPP CHAIRMAN JOIN NDC

Two supporters of suspended Wa West Constituency Chairman of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) Alhaji Abudi Seidu aka Major have defected from the party and pledged their allegiance to the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Alhaji Abdulai Adams popularly called Nana and Abdulai Yussif who are known activists of the NPP at Wichau, announced their decision during an inauguration of a youth wing of the NDC in the constituency at the weekend.

They claim that their decision was primarily as a result of the party’s failure at the National, Regional and constituency levels to settle their differences and forge ahead as a formidable force towards winning the November polls.

The two accused the leadership of the party of being intolerant towards divergent views leading to unnecessary suspensions of executives further deepening divisions among various ranks within the party endangering its future successes.

“We are being victimized by members of our own party because we speak against certain unpopular decisions inimical to our electoral fortunes”, they disclosed.

According to them, they have particularly been pained by the suspension of) Alhaji Abudi Seidu aka Major as constituency chairman without recourse to his contributions to the party in the past that made it attractive to floating voters.

The duo commended the ruling NDC for showing it was a party which accommodates varying views and pledged towards working with the youth wing to solidify the electoral victory of the NDC in the November polls.
