Suspended NDC constituency Youth Organizer for Klottey Korle, Mr. Charles Gben, is calling on the national executive members of NDC to suspend Greater Accra Regional Chairman, Ade Coker.
The Youth Organizer, Charles Gben, speaking on Neat Fm morning show with host Kwesi Aboagye, revealed that just when the vetting of parliamentary candidates began in Accra, he had a call from Ade Coker – informing him that he has been suspended for supporting a particular candidate ahead of the vetting.
Reason he was given by the chairman is that, no executive member is suppose to support any parliamentary candidate.
Touching on why he’s calling for Chairman Ade Coker’s suspension, he revealed that the same Chairman who suspended him for going to support Dr. Zanetor Rawlings was on Hon Nii Armah Ashitey’s campaign grounds and was heavily campaigning for him.
Again, he mentioned that during the registration process of party members, the Chairman threatened to remove anyone who supports Dr Zanetor from the register.
“Most of the people who openly endorsed Dr Zanetor have been removed from the register” he disclosed. As to what action he’s going to take to get evenhandedness, he hinted that he’s writing to the party to call for Ade Coker’s suspension because as long as he remains a chairman, the constituency can’t have fair elections.
