Details reaching us has it that, New Patriotic Party’s Ashanti Regional Chairman Bernard Antwi Bosiako known as Chairman Wotumi has stocked and camped thugs, has armed them with guns, pepper spray, machetes and other deadly and explosive weapons and ammunitions in a Yellow building at Buokrom estate, a suburb in Kumasi, Ashanti Region.
According to eye witness, Wontumi and Dr Amoako Tufour, Disciplinary Committee chairman of Ashanti Region drove to the building in a white “Toyota hiase” vehicle in the company of the thugs yesterday’s night . The thugs of Wotumi are said to have carried into the building, dark bags of nine quantities suspected to be explosives and deadly weapons. Another eye witness, in reaction to this story expressed that, she saw Wontumi early this morning, coming out from the building and looking “suspicious.”
It is not known if the Ashanti Regional Police have been given a tip-off on this discreet act of wontumi. It would be recalled that, in the last few hours, wontumi and his aide Andy Owusu lodged at a hotel called Madison Lodge and thumbprinted duplicates of fake ballot papers they had obtained from their paymasters. The Ashanti Regional Police commander ACP Kofi Boakye in subsequent rebuttal expressed his utter disgust about the uncivilized and uncultured manner at which the rouble-rowser Wontumi is creating unnecessary tension and confusion through the raising of false alarms . ACP Kofi Boakye has vowed to never hesitate in arresting wontumi if he goes against the criminal laws of Ghana.
