Revealed: Judge Who ruled In Afoko’s case campaigned for Akufo-Addo in 2008

The new Free Press can authoritatively report that ,the high court Judge,Justice Anthony Yeboah, who ruled against NPP National  Chairman Paul Afoko , was the campaign coordinator for Nana Akufo-Addo in 2008 at his hometown in Osino, even before his appointment as a Justice of the high court.

Justice Anthony Yeboah who stated “I hope this judgement will be the final end to the troubles in the party and serve as an opportunity for the party to reunite ” shortly after the commencement of his ruling retired to chambers and stayed there for about four (4) minutes. Justice Yeboah came back claiming that “I am suffering from cold and I had to go take in something for relieve. I don’t want anybody to allege that I went to receive a call”

Yesterday’s ruling by Justice Anthony Yeboah has been labeled by some lawyers as a “Political Judgement”. The poverty in yesterday’s ruling is manifest in the several contradictions of the Eighty Nine Page ruling, as the Akyem Judge, Justice Anthony couldn’t distinguish between who a party member is and who is an elected officer as part of the many miscarriages his “Political Judgement” was tainted with . What amazes some learned Lawyers is the emergence of questionable letters of appointments with no date during the trial,  the admission of bias and breach of natural justice by Chairman of the party’s Disciplinary committee Most Reverend Asante-Antwi and the admission of same in yesterday’s ruling by the learned justice among others lends credence to the fact that, Justice Anthony Yeboah feared to uphold Justice.

Justice Anthony Yeboah worked in the same chambers with Akufo-Addo’s close ally who is Member Of Parliament  for Bekwai in the Ashanti Region, Honorable Joseph Wusu Alias Joe Wise. Let it be stated that, it is this same Joe Wise who colluded with the three other members of the Ohene Ntow committee to dubiously cook and fabricate an investigation report which exonerated established criminals such as Akufo-Addo,  Freddy Blay and Abankwa Yeboah in the criminal divertion of the party’s over Ghc 6 million into into secret location, later known as the Ecobank account.

In as much as,Justice Anthony Yeboah admitted that, the court case has nothing to do with the person of Chairman Paul Afoko but about the allege infractions in the party’s constitution which he failed to correct , Various lawyers are advising the NPP National Chairman Paul Afoko to seek for an appeal against this “Political Judgement ” at the highest level.
Three days before the ruling, Several News sources such as Ghanaweb.com had reported that, Akufo-Addo was putting pressure on his former campaign cordinator in Osino, Justice Anthony Yeboah to rule against NPP National Chairman Paul Afoko. National chairman of the NPP Paul Afoko has served a notice to appeal against yesterday’s “political judgement” to the highest level.

Meanwhile, the ruling National Democratic Congress jubilated over Afoko’s loss in court, as some of their party executives stated that it was “a sign of victory” to them, because if Chairman Afoko had won the case, the NPP would have unite back and it was going to be difficult for the NDC in the upcoming elections. To the NDC, they see yesterday’s court case as a victory in disguise since the NPP has once again ignored another opportunity for them to re-unite.
