Rawlings reconciles with Vanderpuije after ‘snubbing’ (video)

Former President Jerry John Rawlings has had a hearty chat with the outgoing AMA boss and MP-elect for Ablekuma South after snubbing him on Thursday in Parliament.

Dr Vanderpuije was seen, in a short video which went viral, paying obeisance to the former President Rawlings after he arrived for President John Mahama’s last State of the Nation Address (SoNA) and was walking on the red carpet on the staircase into the house.

Mr Rawlings after acknowledging the greetings stopped and gestured Dr Vanderpuije to stop following him and proceeded to enter the house leaving the AMA boss stupefied.

This has been criticised by many as unstatesmanly.resident Rawlings in a video at the swearing in ceremony of the 7th parliament,

But President Rawlings in a video at the swearing in ceremony of the 7th parliament was seen interacting with Dr Vanderpuije in a reconciliatory manner.

Dr Vanderpuije in an interview with GTV stated that Mr Rawlings had told him that he had no problem with him.
