Ras Mubarak gets ZERO vote in Northern Regional Council of State election

Former Member of Parliament for Kumbungu Constituency Ras Mubarak got zero (0) vote in the ongoing Council of State elections in the Northern Region.

The former MP wanted to sought to represent the Northern Region on the Council of State as a youth to help address issues concerning the youth of Ghana.

Prior to the election, the former MP in a post shared on his social media platform said “We’ve done all the campaigning. We leave the rest to God through our distinguished delegates. I have surrendered my purpose to the most High, for Victory cometh only from God. May He make the honorable delegates remember Ras Mubarak, #3 on the ballot. Amen. #Council_of_state elections2021”.

However, he did not garner a vote out of 32 delegates who voted on the day.

In a post he shared on Facebook, Ras Mubarak congratulated Chief Col. Rt. Mahmoud Tahiru who won the elections with 23 out of the 32 votes.

“Congratulations to Chief Col. Rt. Mahmoud Tahiru who has been duly elected as the Northern Region’s representative on the Council of State.”
