The airforce helicopter that carried the body from Accra to at Busunu, in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region.
The casket containing the body of Hajia Abiba Nneba, the mother of President John Dramani Mahama arrived on board an Air Force plane at Busunu, in the West Gonja District of the Northern Region for the burial ceremony Friday morning.
The helicopter that carried the casket touched down at 11.13am at the park where the burial ceremony took place.
The body was received by the chiefs and elders of Busunu and was later conveyed in a waiting ambulance to the Busunu chief’s palace and was received by a representative of the Busunuwura Nugbaso 11, Sedanpewura Kwaja.
The body was kept at the family house till 13hrs GMT after the Friday Islamic Jumah Prayers before the late Madam Nneba was laid to rest.
Hajia Nneba passed on last Tuesday at the Trust Hospital in Accra.
