President Mahama Announces Release Of GHC37 Million For Payment Of Book And Research Allowances

President Mahama, has announced that government has released 37 million Ghana cedis to the Controller and Accountant Generals Department to pay Book and Research allowances for the 2015-2016 academic year as this will help in enhancing research.

President Mahama said, it is his hope that a consensus will soon be reached on a mutually acceptable National Research fund.

President John Mahama, dropped the hint as special guest at the 50th Congregation of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.

President Mahama said government is also sourcing for funding to assist the KNUST complete its Teaching Hospital initiative.

President Mahama tasked the graduands to leave their comfort zones and use their intuition to explore new areas.

Eight thousand and eighty-one students graduated including fifty-one PHD students.
