Political Parties Ready To File Nominations

Some Political Parties are required by law to file their nominations by 5pm on Friday.

Radio Ghana finds out from the political parties whether they are ready and have satisfied all the requirements of the law.

First, the General Secretary of the All Peoples Congress, Razak Opoku says the Flagbearer is ready with his funds and has also declared his assets, but was not sure if all the parliamentary candidates will secure funding to file their nominations.

The Flagbearer of the Ghana Freedom Party, Akua Donkor, says she is also ready with her filing fee to submit her nomination Thursday with the EC.

The leader of the United Renaissance Party, Kofi Wayo says he is touring remote villages in the Volta Region to provide relief and support to the vulnerable.

Speaking to Radio Ghana, on whether he is ready to file his nomination, he said the people are suffering and others are worried about filing nominations.

Meanwhile, the PRO of the EC, Eric Dzakpasu, says the Commission by law has time to present the preliminary voters register to all political parties.

He told Radio Ghana that it is not for the parties to demand the register.
