Police begins assigning guards to flagbearers, running mates

As part of measures to protect Presidential candidates and their running mates, four policemen will be detailed to the Flagbearers and two to their running mates, effective today.

Speaking to, DSP Freeman Tettey of the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service said capacities of personnel to be assigned have been built to ensure excellence.

He said they will offer their service till the electioneering is over and this does not come with an extra cost.
