Pediatric Specialist advocates inclusion of childhood cancer care in NHIS

A child cured of cancer has at least 50 to 60 years of productive life ahead to live.

To this end parents whose children are suffering from cancer and survivors of cancers are calling on government to ensure that children’s cancer care is fully included in the National Insurance scheme.

At a press conference in Accra, the parents reiterated their believe that most children can survive cancer if the government makes available resource for its treatment.
