Peace ambassador describes NDC campaign launch as peaceful in nature Comment

Peace ambassador Irbad Ibrahim says apart from comments made by the local government minister, at the NDC campaign launch in Cape Coast, all other comments were peaceful in nature.

Mr. Ibrahim who attended the launch as an observer said statements that attacked the NPP as a party are normal and should be taken as part of the game.

Mr. Ibrahim said as peace ambassador, he will attend campaign launches of all parties and will not hesitate to condemn when necessary.

Meanwhile a Political Scientist at the University of Ghana, Dr. Isaac Owusu Mensah says a critical look at the NDC campaign launch and comments made indicate that this year’s campaign will be rancorous and competitive.

He said the NDC did a good job but could have avoided some of the comments that were insulting to some individuals in the NPP.

Dr. Mensah told George Asekere that the active involvement of women at the event is good for gender equality.
