Passport delay caused by single processing centre: Veep visits facility

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has today [Thursday 23 2017] paid a working visit to the Passport Office in Accra.

The visit by the vice President was to observe operations at the facility and also interact with staff and applicants at the facility.

According to Starr News report, only one online processing centre is available in the country contributing to the delay in the acquisition of passport.

The vice President also interacted with Deputy Director of Passport, Accra regional office Samuel Ofosu Boateng.

The Vice President has earlier this year visited the Ports and Harbours Authority and the Registrar General’s department.

Dr. Bawumia is also expected to visit the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC) in Accra on Thursday.
