Parliament Begins Third Meeting Of Fourth Session

Parliament begins its third meeting of the fourth session on Tuesday, October 11, 2016.

During this last meeting for the year, 23 Bills which will be presented, include, Head of Family Accountability Bill, 2016, Legal Service Bill, 2016 and the Road safety Bill, 2016.

Others are Tax Administration Bill, Corporate Insolvency Bill and the Affirmative Action (Gender Equality) Bill, 2016.

The House committees are already working on 10 other Bills, which include; Companies Bill, 2013, Property Rights of Spouses, 2013 and the Whistle-blower (Amendment) Bill, 2015.

There is also the Narcotics Control Commission Bill, 2015, Registration of Births and Deaths Bill, 2015 and Witness Protection Bill, 2015 being worked on by various committees of the House.

There are 11 Bills already at the Consideration stage.

The Conduct of Public Officers Bill, 2013, Intestate Succession Bill, 2013, Right to information Bill, 2013, Chieftaincy (Amendment) Bill, 2013, Plant Breeders Bill, 2013 and the Presidential Transition (Amendment) Bill, 2015 are part of those at the consideration stage.
