Owusu-Abeye provides assist in Dutch top-flight

Ghana international Quincy Owusu-Abeyie set up a goal for NEC Nijmegen as the Eredivisie campaigners shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw with Go Ahead Eagles on Sunday.

The former Arsenal star, 30, applied his pace and skill to set up French youngster Kevin Mayi for the opening goal in the 34th minute at the De Adelaarshorst in Deventer.

Owusu-Abeyie was replaced by Joey Sleegers in the 63rd minute.

While the 2008 AFCON Ghana star was flourishing on the day, German-born Ghanaian attacking midfielder Reagy Ofosu started the game and lasted until the 73rd minute.
