NPP’s Dsane Selby dead

New Patriotic Party (NPP) bigwig, Dr. Kofi Dsane Selby, former Ambassador to France in Busia’s time and again during the Kufour regime, has died.

Dr. Selby, died on Tuesday July 18, at the National Cardio center, Korle Bu in Accra.

The medical doctor, once aspired to lead the NPP as its flagbearer, placing second to the late Prof. Albert Kwadwo Adu Boahen; Ghanaian academic, historian and politician in the lead up to the 1992 elections.

Ex-President John A Kufour, placed third in that contest, but later led the NPP in 1996, before winning the 2000 elections against the then Vice-President, John Evans Atta Mills.

Burial details to be announced by wife and family in due course.
