NPP Super delegates conference: I haven’t stepped down, I’m ready for Saturday’s run-off – Boakye Agyarko

NPP presidential aspirant Boakye Agyarko has dismissed rumors that he has withdrawn from the race ahead of a crucial run-off on Saturday.

Mr. Agyarko and Mr. Francis Addai Nimo tied with 9 votes each in the party’s special delegates conference last Saturday.

“My attention has been drawn to some false claims and reports that I, Boakye Agyarko has withdrawn from the NPP presidential primaries,” Mr. Agyarko said in a statement on Monday, August 28.
“I have not made any such pronouncements with anyone or any media house, I am ready for the upcoming run-off scheduled for Saturday, 2nd
September, 2023,” he affirmed.
Vice President Bawumia topped the special delegates vote, followed Mr Kennedy Agyapong, Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, Dr. Akoto Afriyie whereas the winner from the forthcoming run-off will join to make the required five to contest in the main congress.
