NPP sinking in Brong Ahafo region – Abronye DC

Maverick Brong Ahafo Regional Youth Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kwame Baffoe, known as Abronye DC has revealed that the party is fast losing popularity in the region.

He claimed that, the party will sink further if the current Regional Minister, Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh continues to stay in office.

He challenged those who doubt his claim to commission an independent body like the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to conduct a research and will be amazed at the findings which will vindicate his stance.

“I am not interested in money but if the conduct of someone is affecting the party, we need to speak up. The President at Cape Coast asked us to petition with evidence of alleged corruption involving his appointees. That is what I am working with. We have two communications teams in the region now – the Minister’s and that of Abronye DC. This is what we will go to the 2020 elections with”, he said.

The controversial party executive observed that, the evidence laid in the fact that a candidate who was supported by Kwaku Asomah Cheremeh was defeated heavily and could garner only 9 votes.

“If elections are held today you will all be witnesses to what shall befall the NPP. What someone is doing is affecting the party and we have all failed to talk about it, it shall affect all of us in the long run. The Minister has lost control of the party in the region. I control 28 constituencies in the region but he can only hold onto one which is Atebubu,” he said.

He warned that, if drastic measures are not immediately taken to safeguard the image of the party, the party will sink in the 2020 elections.
